Caleb CDC has receive
financial approval to develop Hooper Ridge Subdivision. This is a 44-lot
subdivision to be located on Hooper Road directly across the street
from Ministry of Love. This development is unique in that it is a combination
of rental and home ownership. “The attempt is to create a mixed-income
environment”, said CEO Byron D. Turner. 32 units will be rental
while 12 units will be available for home ownership. Rental units will
have three bedrooms, two baths, double car carport all sitting on a
large lot.
House for sale will
cost from $95,000 on up. In addition, the houses have been awarded up
to $11,000 worth of financial assistance. Houses receiving assistance
will not cost more than $99,000. Broker participation is welcomed.
In addition, to
the houses Caleb is developing a two story office building which will
serve as Caleb’s corporate office. This office will also provide
a meeting facility and a computer lab for the community.
Current financial
partners for this development are Fannie Mae, LISC, OCD, LHFA, Hibernia
National Bank and Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas. This development
is done through a partnership between Caleb CDC and Kalioppe, LLC. Ellis
Construction built the rental homes and office building, while Records
& Associates built the infrastructure. If interested in renting
